The Danville Area Community College Men's Basketball team
earned it's 3rd consecutive victory Tuesday night on
the road at NJCAA DI Kankakee 67-64.
The Jaguars jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. DACC led
by as many as 14 points in the second half. The stingy Jaguar defense was key again - holding KCC (77 ppg
average) to their lowest point total of the season.
A late run by the Cavaliers cut the lead to 2 but DACC hit some big free throws
down the stretch to seal the victory.
For the second game in a row all 10 players who saw action scored for DACC. The
Jaguars were led by Sergey Struck with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Next up for
the 4-2 Jaguars is another road game at Wabash Valley
on November 26.
DACC will play at HOME vs. Lincoln Trail on Wednesday, November 28th at 7:30
p.m.
"This was a total team effort tonight - I'm very proud or our kids. Kankakee has a very good
team and our defense held them to 64 points,” commented Danville Head Coach
Mike Carpenter. "Our bench came up huge for us again tonight scoring 34
of our 67 points."
