The Danville Area Community College Men's Basketball team
defeated
unbeaten NJCAA Division I Wabash Valley Community College 81-77. WVC
drops to 9-1 and DACC improves to 6-3.
The Jaguars jumped on WVC out of the gate leading 7-0. Wabash Valley
quickly tied the score and there were several lead changes before Wabash
Valley took an 8 point
lead into halftime 38-30. DACC found themselves down 47-35 to start the
second half. However, the Jaguars battled back, going on a 13-3 run of
their own.
DACC outscored the Warriors 51-39 in the second half. Danville was led
by Marcus Thomas with 24 points. Freshman Ted Hardy had a career high 22
points and 6 rebounds. Sergey Struck had another double-double with 13
points and 14 rebounds. DACC improves to 6-3 while Wabash Valley
falls to 9-1. Next up for Danville is @ Wabash
College JV on Thursday and at HOME vs. Illinois Valley
on Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
