The DACC men's basketball team defeated Lincoln Trail College 76-65. The Jaguars found themselves down by as many as 10 points late in the first half, but a 9-0 run over a 1:02 span got them back to within 1 point. DACC trailed 36-35 at the half.

DACC jumped on LTC early in the second half and quickly had the Statesmen down by 16 points. The DACC defense stepped up - in the second half - holding LTC to 2 points over this 6 minute span.

Danville was led by Marcus Thomas with 15 points and 8 rebounds.  Ted Hardy and Sergey Struck each had 10 points.  Struck also had 7 of the Jaguars 11 blocked shots.

Freshman Ronnie Bell (Danville, IL) saw his first action of the season due to injury. He came off the bench to spark the Jaguar run – and recorded 9 points. Next up for DACC is a rematch with undefeated Wabash Valley on Tuesday,
December 4th at 7:30 p.m.

"We played a much better in the second half. If we can play like that consistently we'll be a hard team to beat," said Danville Head Coach Mike Carpenter. "Ronnie Bell came in and did a great job tonight. This was a good win."
