Shawnee had a balanced
scoring night with five players in double figures and cruised to a 111-60 win
at McKendree JV on Saturday, November 17th.
The Saints shot 55% from the field for the game. A quick start to the game
gave Shawnee
a commanding 56-32 lead at the half.
Shawnee was led in scoring
again by Marcus Spivey with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Spivey went 11 for 13
from the field and pulled down 8 offensive rebounds in just 20 minutes of
play. Brandon Wilson and Johnny Williams scored 16 and 15 points for the
Saints.
“We came out a defended for nearly forty minutes. These
guys (McKendree) did not come out here and quit at
any point through out the game. They played hard, but we just had too
much fire power for them,” commented Shawnee
Head Coach John Sparks.
