Spoon River
struggled in the first half and could not get all the way back on Saturday,
losing to Lake Land
69-60 in Mattoon.
The Mudcats were down by 20 points with 17 minutes
to go in the game but cut the Lake
Land lead to 3 with
1:30 to play in the game. Spoon
River missed two free
throws at this point to cut the lead to one point and had to foul down the
stretch, resulting in the nine point loss. Spoon was led by Ronnell Isom with 16 points and
8 rebounds, all in the second half. Wesley Ware added 10 points and 6
rebounds in the loss. The Mudcats will be back in
action on Tuesday, November 20th when the have their home opener
against Illinois
Valley at 7:30 p.m. The
game will be played at Cuba Jr./Sr.
High School.
